Merlion Park
Merlion Park is located near Marina Bay, Singapore. Merlion Park is the home of iconic Singapore symbol of a mythical Merlion statues with a head of lion and a body of fish. This park is a popular Singapore tourist attraction. Two Merlion statues are located here and it is a major tourist attraction and a Singapore landmark, an attraction that tourist should not miss.

While the park was first designed as an emblem for the Singapore Tourism Board (STB) in 1964, the lion head with a fish body resting on a crest of waves quickly became one of the well known images of Singapore. The Merlion park is located adjacent to the famous hotel One Fullerton. Measuring 8.6 metres high and weighing 70 tonnes, the Merlion statue was built from cement fondue by the late Singapore craftsman, Mr Lim Nang Seng.
